Sales & Office Administrator

Location:  Wareham, Dorset

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic *Sales & Office Administrator* to assist our Property Survey division in Wareham, Dorset. The successful candidate will receive ongoing training and knowledge of the Property Surveys that we offer so that they can communicate with existing and new clients in order to introduce our services and assist with the planning of surveys, along with administration duties.

You will need to have good computer knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook), and excellent communication skills. You will be a very organised and proactive person, keen to learn, and keen to support a very active and growing team.

Main tasks:

  • Accepting inbound client enquiry calls
  • Introducing the survey and design services that we offer to clients
  • Planning the diary for surveys or design for the correct Engineer
  • Supporting the team where required

This is a busy office, with an enjoyable and friendly atmosphere. We work with a positive and great team approach, in order to achieve our goals, continue with the growth and expand on the recognition that Alpine Surveys already have.

We are offering the following package to the successful candidate.

  • Salary £18,000 to £25,000 dependent on experience
  • Up to 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

Must be minimum Associate RICS, and located in the UK.

Ideally, a degree qualified, however, excellent personal qualities and an HNC or HND in Building studies would be considered. We are looking for somebody with at least five years’ experience in surveying buildings for defects and deterioration.

The surveyor must have excellent and proven experience in detecting building defects and deterioration, and have sound knowledge regarding the effects deterioration and defects will have on a building.

  • The undertaking of accurate Surveys (mainly domestic properties)
  • Excellent report writing whilst utilising our in-house survey app.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least Associate RICS
  • Preferably degree-qualified (HNC or HND considered)
  • At least five years of building surveying experience

The successful team member must have excellent and proven experience in all aspects of structural and building surveys.

This experience must include structural condition surveys, resolving structural issues with both domestic and commercial properties, and the design and calculations of structural alterations to properties, including extensions and the removal of load-bearing walls.

The Engineer must have proven experience in the following fields:

  • The undertaking of Structural Surveys (both domestic & commercial properties) to resolve structural issues such as cracks and movement.
  • Undertaking Structural Calculations and Drawings for property amendments and extensions.
  • Excellent and professional report writing whilst utilising our in-house survey applications.
