Are you experiencing any of the following,
Quickly identified the cause of damp across two neighbouring houses. This had evaded the previous person that the council had sent out
Really pleased with a very professional service, the advice given was really helpful. I was stressed that my new home had rising damp due to some less than honest quotes and advice from other companies. Fully appreciate an independent survey from a very knowledgeable building surveyor.
I cannot praise Alpine Surveys enough. They are absolutely brilliant. I am incredibly thankful they were recommended to me. Right from the first interaction with Sandra I felt confident that I was in safe hands. Paul who came to do the survey was courteous, thorough and hugely helpful.
The report is very detailed. There is a well laid out conclusion which has bullet pointed actions to be taken. So, at the end of the process you know exactly where the problems are and how to deal with them. I can’t recommend Alpine enough. Treat it as and invaluable investment in your property. 110% happy!
You may come across several companies offering free damp surveys on your home in the Birmingham area, however, as we all know, nothing is free and more often than not the person who visits the property will simply talk you into having a service they offer being carried out which may be completely unnecessary.
Most clients we speak to who have opted for a free survey and taken the advice to have potentially damaging work carried out have realised their mistake due to the damp reoccurring in the home.
Alpine Surveys are then asked to conduct a professional damp survey using one of our Professionally qualified building surveyors to ascertain the true cause of the damp issues, a service which could have saved the client thousands of pounds.
It is highly unlikely that you will have rising damp in your home. Rising damp is a myth, it was a phrase created by large companies wanting to sell potentially harmful and damaging chemicals, a service known as DPC Injection using silicone chemicals. If rising damp was such a thing, why isn’t the bridge in this image saturated with water?
If your DPC (Damp Proof Course) has failed the only true solution to remedying the issue is to have work carried out to repair or replace the offending area, as opposed to filling your cavity with a chemical that prevents the brickwork and render from being able to breathe.
If carried out by a professional damp surveyor, a damp survey should take anywhere between 1 – 3 hours to complete. This is because a thorough inspection is carried out to determine the true cause of damp and ensure no areas are missed out. As professional damp experts with over 30 years specialising in damp and building surveys, we do not recommend you have DPC (Damp Proof Course) Injection. This method often involves a free survey so that the salesperson can offer you their DPC Injection services, which are known to potentially cause more problems Absolutely, our reports contain detailed analysis of your damp issues, including moisture mapping and thermal imaging to locate the true cause and reason for the damp. Detailed images are included along with comprehensive descriptions followed by a list of any recommendations needed to remedy the damp issue Because we are totally independent, we do not offer to repair the works if any are needed. We provide an honest, impartial and unbiased report. This way you know you are getting a true account of the what has caused the problem and we have not interest in trying to upsell additional services. We are not PCA registered. The PCA is a membership scheme for companies who have been known to misinform homeowners and convince them that Rising Damp is the cause of their damp, then offer harmful chemicals as opposed to resolving the and finding the true cause of the damp problem Yes, we offer a guarantee.
